Jerry Epping, Landscape Designer / Owner
Jerry holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater where he majored in Geography and minored in Urban Area Development. He began his landscaping career thirty years ago installing simple landscape designs. Jerry is now installing state of the art landscape designs for some of the largest construction companies in the country, but he still loves working on residential designs. He works closely with all his clients, discovering their needs and wants and sharing in his professional thoughts and ideas in order to create outstanding landscape designs. It’s what makes Jerry such a sought-after landscape designer.
Mike Schierl, Landscape Designer
As the landscape division manager at Breezy Hill Nursery Mike is a multifaceted designer. His innovative ideas allow him to create outdoor living spaces that are both sensible and breathtaking. Eco-conscious consumers look to Mike for his environmentally friendly design capabilities. Mike received a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin Madison and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. He has been designing and managing at Breezy Hill Nursery for over eight years. His specialties include, but are not limited to, outdoor kitchens, pergolas, retaining walls, elaborate paver patios, outdoor fireplaces and ponds.

Bradd Epping, Landscape Architect, RLA 647
Bradd has over 10 years of experience with Breezy Hill Nursery. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning with a minor in Ornamental Horticulture from Utah State University and an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University. With his strong educational and professional knowledge, he is able to work on both residential and commercial projects. Bradd’s passion for landscape architecture allows him to create unique and exceptional designs that are both functional and breathtaking. By working closely with his clients, Bradd is able to provide outstanding service with astonishing results.
Rick Fuller, Landscape Designer
Rick earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point where he majored in Forestry and minored in Urban Planning. He also maintains a certificate with the International Society of Arboriculture as a Certified Arborist. Rick began his landscaping career over 25 years ago and has designed and project managed residential and commercial landscapes all over Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. His specialties include plant material selection, perennial gardens, entertainment spaces, and project management. Rick treats every project with high levels of communication, integrity, and attention to detail.

Dan Hitzeman, Landscape Designer
Dan began his landscaping career in college as a summer job in 2005 and discovered the reward of creating spaces for people. He received his Bachelor’s in Environmental Design from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. His specialties in naturalistic planting & spatial design along with native plantings reveal his love of nature. He appreciates the unique challenges of each site and loves watching the transformation from start to finish. He listens to his customer’s needs and uses his expertise to create enjoyable landscapes.
Rob Hoffman, Landscape Designer
Rob has over 25 years of experience in various roles in the landscape industry, including owning a small landscape company in Southeastern WI for 7 years. He studied horticulture and landscape design at MATC. Rob is a unique designer to work with because of the installation experience he has. That allows him to design landscapes that are practical to install and unique. He knows the plant material that is hardy to our harsh WI climate and he designs landscapes that have an interest for all 4 seasons. His favorite landscapes to design are renovation projects that remove the old and overgrown plant material and enhance the look of the entire property by renewing the landscape.
Derrek Pathmann, Landscape Designer
Derrek has worked for 15 years in the landscaping industry and 5 years of project management for both commercial and residential construction projects. He was raised by an architect father and gardener Mother that brought a passion for design and the outdoors at a young age. Derrek has a degree in Horticulture from the College of Lake County in IL. There is nothing more rewarding than working an idea from head to paper to reality and being able to view the growth of that project as it grows and matures. Landscape design, unlike any other design career, allows you to design a living breathing piece of art, and planning for the future is what creates the strongest landscape designs.
