Property Clean Up & Lawn Maintenance

The property clean-ups occur in spring (March-May) and again in fall (October-November). These clean-ups entail frost protection, pruning of trees, shrubs and perennials, fertilizing planting beds, apply pre-emergent, spade edge all beds, remove leaves, branches and debris, removal of annuals, clearing hard surfaces and more. We also offer optional supplemental lawn services such as aeration and dethatching, insect control application and even irrigation start up and shut downs.

Turf Fertilization & Weed Control

Breezy Hill Nursery uses granular fertilizers containing slow release nitrogen. For environmental concerns we use phosphorus-free fertilizers. All herbicides, except crabgrass pre-emergent, are applied as liquid spray.

Planting and Removal Services

We remove dead or dying plant material from your property and install new plants as well. Plants often outgrow their areas and need to be relocated. Breezy Hill can plant perennials and annuls as well, and bulbs are installed in the spring.

Bed Maintenance

This service is an ongoing service over the growing season (late April through early November). With bed maintenance weeds in beds and tree rings are pulled and/or sprayed with pre-emergent. Plants that require shaping are trimmed or pruned and all plants are monitored for pest problems and are treated accordingly.

Special Events

Breezy Hill Nursery provides special event pot and planters, plantings and arrangements together for all your special events. We create beautiful winter planters for holiday parties, arrangements and decor for weddings and other festive events like graduations or reunions. We also offer mosquito control, mowing, mulch and decorative stone installation and even your seasonal watering needs to make sure your event is comfortable beautiful.

Chemical Applications

Breezy Hill Nursery, Inc. and all Breezy Hill Nursery pesticide applicators are licensed by the Wisconsin and Illinois Departments of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. We offer three application programs, a 6 application program, 5 application program and a 3 application program.

Turf Management

This service will be performed on a weekly cycle beginning in April/May and ending in late October/Mid November. Environmental conditions may warrant a longer or shorter period between mowing services. Mowing will occur ideally on a weekly basis on the same day each week (weather permitting).
